Mole/Cyst Removal

What are cysts and moles?

Cysts present as lumps under the skin. Most are harmless but can grow and become inflamed, infected, swollen, or tender.
Moles or nevi are small skin growths. They can present at birth or be acquired at a later age. Most nevi are benign and require removal for cosmetic purposes. However, people with multiple atypical appearances of nevi have a greater risk of developing skin cancer, which needs to be diagnosed at the earliest.

Treatment for Cysts, Lipomas, and Moles

Cysts can be drained, injected with medicines to reduce the size / swelling, or be surgically removed.
Lipomas are surgically removed using the least invasive method possible.

Depending on their size, location, and type, moles can be removed with a “shave removal” technique or surgically removed and closed with stitches.
